200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hockley, Essex

Meet your teacher
You will be guided by me, Justine. I am an experienced, passionate and down-to-earth yoga teacher trainer, mentor and the founder of Yin to the Yang Yoga. For almost a decade, I have guided hundreds of students through classes, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings. I am currently delivering my 13th 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course in Essex.
I believe that the power of a yoga teacher does not come from how flexible they are or how advanced their practice looks. It comes from their ability to connect with their students and teach in a way that feels authentic to them.
My goal is not to create teachers who teach like me. My goal is to help you find your own voice, develop your own teaching style and leave feeling confident in who you are as a teacher.
Beginning a yoga teacher training is so much more than gaining a qualification. It is an opportunity for personal growth, self-discovery and transformation, both on and off the mat.
I look forward to supporting you every step of the way and sharing this incredible journey with you.

What you will learn
How to plan, sequence & teach mixed ability classes. You will understand how to adapt and vary poses for different body types
How to draw on key philosophical concepts and learn how to deliver them in approachable and meaningful ways
How to use your understanding of anatomy and physiology to create coherent, accessible and safe classes
How to promote awareness, ownership and new possibilities for connection in relation to self and others
You will go beyond the basics and practice yoga in a way that deepens your personal transformation

Is this course certfified?
Yes! Upon successful completion of the course, you will graduate as a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and receive a 200 Hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training certification.
This internationally recognised qualification allows you to teach group classes, private sessions, workshops and retreats, giving you the flexibility to share yoga in a way that feels authentic to you.

Which type of yoga will I learn?
You will primarily learn to teach Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, providing you with a strong foundation in sequencing, cueing, alignment and class planning.

It doesn't matter which style of yoga you currently practice or enjoy most. This training is designed to broaden your understanding of different approaches to yoga, helping you discover what resonates with you and begin developing your own authentic teaching style.

While this course will qualify you to teach yoga, for many women the journey becomes about far more than a yoga teaching certification.
It’s an opportunity to grow in confidence, deepen your self-awareness, and connect with a supportive group of like-minded women.
Explore the stories of graduates who discovered their voice, challenged their self-doubt and left with skills and memories that continue to shape their lives long after the training ended.

What makes this training different?
Unlike yoga teacher training courses in London where there can be 25+ students and 5+ different yoga teachers switching throughout the course, this training is run solely by me with a maximum of 10 students per course.
I intentionally keep my yoga teacher trainings small and intimate, to create a supportive learning environment where you have the space to ask questions, receive personalised feedback and build confidence throughout the journey.
As you'll be guided by me for the entire training, you'll benefit from consistent support, teaching and mentorship from someone who understands your strengths, challenges and growth throughout the course.
One of the biggest advantages of a small group training is the opportunity to practice teaching regularly. Confidence doesn't come from simply learning about yoga, it comes from teaching. With plenty of opportunities to practice, receive feedback and refine your skills, you'll leave feeling prepared to teach in a way that feels authentic to you.
My goal isn't to create yoga teachers who all teach the same way. It's to help each trainee discover their own unique voice and teaching style, so they leave feeling knowledgeable, confident and ready to share yoga with others.

Q. Do I need to be able to do advanced yoga poses?
Absolutely not! You do not need to be able to do any inversions to be a great yoga teacher. What matters most is your willingness to learn and your passion for yoga.
Q. Am I good enough to complete my yoga teacher training?
This is one of the most common questions I hear. Most trainees feel nervous and question whether they are ready. You don't need to feel confident to start. Building confidence is part of the journey.

Q. Can I do teacher training if I don't want to teach?
Some trainees sign up just because they love yoga and want to learn more. You'll immerse yourself in our yoga bubble and it will be a transformative experience whether you go on to teach yoga or not.
Q. How much practice teaching will I get?
Lots! I intentionally keep my groups small so that everyone gets plenty of time to practice teaching and receive personalised feedback from me. This helps you to build confidence and improve your teaching week after week.
